Wilpena Woolshed 2005 Exhibition
The annual exhibition by the Painters of the Flinders Ranges once more was held at the historic Wilpena Pound woolshed.
"The Flinders Revealed lV" was opened by Philip Satchell on 17th September and ran for four weeks.
What can I say about this exhibition? It is a lot of hard work though the fun that the artist have along with their partners more than makes up for this.
My wall space in the woolshed.
Some of the artist along with family.
Three vans that belong to various artist. The one closest belongs to my husband and I. I spent over two weeks living in this arrangement and made lasting friends along the way as it was also the area the the ground crew lived that work for the Wilpena Pound Resort.
It isn't all work and no play for the artist. Family and friends enjoying a bbq picnic on one of many drives that can be taken in the Central Flinders.
This photo was taken early one morning from Huck's Lookout. In the distance is the Northern side of Wilpena Pound.
My husband Malcolm enjoyed a well deserved rest after climbing to one of the lookouts at Wilpena Pound.
On the way to a lookout up the side of Wilpena, we came across this gum tree growing out from rocks.
